Overview

The MAP Pro Data receiver has been designed and implemented as a flexible data receiver for satellite, internet and hybrid satellite / Internet data broadcasting applications. Live streams of video, audio and IP data are augmented with file broadcasting using the Datacast XD file broadcasting catcher software.

Designed to meet the demands for very high speed delivery of IP streams and files, the MAP Pro Data is the ideal store & forward receiver. This flexible and high speed receiver is intended to a backwards compatible replacement for the previous generation of SFX3102R, SFX3104FRL, SFX3104L-RE and the SFX4014 data receivers in commercial and military markets.  The receiver uses SSD for application storage.  Optional content storage can be added in SSD or HDD form up to 10TB which can easily be upgraded or replaced.     

 Datacast XD Content Delivery

Datacast XD is IDC’s file broadcasting software solution for the fully addressable delivery of files. The MAP Pro Data includes IDC’s Datacast XD file catcher software for high speed guaranteed file delivery. The Datacast XD software client includes Forward Error Correction (FEC) and backlink requests for missing packets to ensure reliable file delivery.
