Ottawa, ON, November 19, 2014 – International Datacasting Corporation (TSX: IDC), a technology provider for the world’s premiere broadcasters, has been selected by Asemblea Nacional del Ecuador to expand upon an existing IDC audio network and deploy a new IDC video distribution service.
IDC’s LASER™ video receivers have been chosen to deliver video services in addition to an expanded audio distribution network supported by the IDC SuperFlex® Pro Audio™ receiver. The well-known IDC TSM-2800 Transport Stream Multiplexer will be used to seamlessly integrate the audio and video distribution streams for distribution.
“IDC’s industry-leading solutions for video and audio distribution were ideal for implementing this expanded network,” said Ing. Ramiro Espinoza of Asemblea del Ecuador. “The LASER™ and SuperFlex® Pro Audio™ receivers can share the same network, improving efficiency and simplifying the network architecture."
“The selection of the SuperFlex® Pro Audio™ receiver for this network expansion is proof of IDC’s reputation of delivering advanced solutions that can be relied on for years to come,” said Doug Lowther, President and CEO of IDC. “We are especially pleased that the LASER™ receiver will be deployed to add video distribution to the network of this longtime IDC customer."
The project will be completed with the assistance of Advicom Cia. Ltda, IDC’s partner in Ecuador. “As a longtime partner of IDC, we are pleased to deliver another leading-edge media distribution solution to this valued customer,” said Paul Rojas, General Manager of Advicom.
